PRIVATE SESSION TERMS
The Soul Alliance
Private Hypnotherapy • Guided Relaxation • Mentorship • Private Programs • Private Ceremonies
Last updated: August 2026
Welcome to The Soul Alliance.
These Private Session Terms have been created to provide clarity, mutual respect and a safe foundation for our work together. Please read them before purchasing or booking a private service.
By purchasing, booking or participating in a private service in person or online, offered by The Soul Alliance, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
1. About These Terms
These Private Session Terms (“Terms”) apply to private services provided by The Soul Alliance, operating from Queensland, Australia (“The Soul Alliance”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
They apply to private services including, but not limited to:
- hypnotherapy sessions
- multi-session hypnotherapy packages
- The Relief Reset Private Experience
- private mentorship
- private programs
- personal and private ceremonies
- private sessions involving more than one participant, including couples
- online private sessions
- in-person private sessions; and
- other private experiences, sessions or packages offered by The Soul Alliance from time to time
For the purposes of these Terms, these are collectively referred to as the “Services.”
A person receiving or participating in a Service is referred to as a “Participant.”
Where a particular Service has additional written terms, inclusions or conditions disclosed before purchase, those additional conditions also apply. If there is an inconsistency, the more specific terms applying to that Service will take precedence to the extent of the inconsistency, subject always to applicable law.
BOOKING, PAYMENT & PACKAGES
2. Booking a Private Service
Bookings are subject to availability.
A booking is not confirmed until any payment required at the time of booking has been successfully processed or another arrangement has been expressly agreed to by The Soul Alliance.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that the contact details supplied during booking are accurate so that booking confirmations, session information and other important communications can be received.
Where a Service includes multiple appointments, appointment availability may vary throughout the duration of the package. Purchasing a package does not guarantee that every preferred date or time requested by a Participant will be available.
3. Multi-Session Packages
Where a Participant purchases a package containing multiple private sessions, all included sessions must ordinarily be used within three (3) months of the date of purchase, unless otherwise agreed in writing by The Soul Alliance.
Participants are encouraged to schedule sessions with sufficient time to use the package within this period.
The Soul Alliance may, at its discretion, approve an extension where circumstances reasonably justify doing so.
Any extension should be agreed in writing.
Package sessions are personal to the Participant and cannot be sold, gifted, assigned or transferred to another person without prior written approval from The Soul Alliance.
4. Initial and Subsequent Appointments
Where the booking system allows, a Participant may select one or more initial appointments when purchasing a package.
Remaining appointments may be arranged subsequently through the available booking system or directly with The Soul Alliance.
The Soul Alliance may also arrange or enter subsequent appointments on behalf of a Participant following mutual agreement about a suitable date and time.
RESCHEDULING, CANCELLATIONS & ATTENDANCE
5. Rescheduling an Appointment
We understand that plans sometimes change.
Participants may reschedule an appointment by providing at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled commencement time.
Where sufficient notice is provided, the session credit will ordinarily remain available and may be moved to another available appointment time.
Rescheduling remains subject to availability and, for package bookings, the applicable package usage period.
6. Late Cancellations
Where a Participant cancels or requests to reschedule less than 24 hours before the scheduled commencement time, the appointment will ordinarily be treated as a used session.
The Soul Alliance understands that genuine emergencies and exceptional circumstances can occur. We therefore reserve the discretion to waive or vary this policy where we consider it reasonable and appropriate in the circumstances.
Any exception is discretionary and does not create an entitlement to the same exception for future appointments.
Nothing in this section limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. No-Shows
If a Participant does not attend a scheduled appointment and has not provided notice beforehand, the appointment will ordinarily be considered used and non-refundable, subject to any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
Where exceptional circumstances have prevented attendance or communication, the Participant is welcome to contact The Soul Alliance. Any decision to reinstate the session will be considered at our discretion, subject to applicable law.
8. Late Arrival
Sessions begin and end at their scheduled times.
If a Participant arrives or connects late, the session will ordinarily still finish at the originally scheduled finishing time.
The lost time will not ordinarily be added to the end of the session, as doing so may affect subsequent appointments and commitments.
If a substantial delay is caused by The Soul Alliance rather than the Participant, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the Participant receives the Service they purchased, which may include extending, continuing or rescheduling the affected session as appropriate.
9. If The Soul Alliance Needs to Reschedule
Occasionally, circumstances such as illness, emergency, technical difficulties, travel disruption, venue issues or other unforeseen events may require The Soul Alliance to change an appointment.
The Soul Alliance will provide as much notice as is reasonably practicable in the circumstances.
We are not bound to provide 24 hours’ notice where circumstances make this impossible or unreasonable.
If The Soul Alliance cannot provide a scheduled session, the Participant will not lose that session credit.
A replacement appointment will be offered or the session will remain available to be rescheduled at a mutually suitable time.
Where The Soul Alliance is permanently unable to provide a prepaid Service, an appropriate remedy will be provided in accordance with these Terms and applicable consumer law.
REFUNDS & CONSUMER RIGHTS
10. Change of Mind
Subject to applicable law, The Soul Alliance does not ordinarily provide refunds simply because a Participant:
- changes their mind;
- changes their personal schedule;
- decides not to continue;
- fails to attend;
- gives insufficient notice of cancellation;
- does not use their package within the applicable usage period; or
- no longer wishes to participate after purchasing a Service.
Where permitted under these Terms, appointments may instead be rescheduled.
This policy reflects the time, preparation, appointment availability and professional capacity reserved for each Participant.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including rights that may arise under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where applicable law entitles a Participant to a refund, re-performance of a Service, compensation or another remedy, these Terms do not remove that entitlement.
Accordingly, references in these Terms to sessions or purchases being “non-refundable” or “used” apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and do not override mandatory statutory rights.
THE NATURE OF THE SERVICES
12. Hypnotherapy and Personal Development Services
The Soul Alliance provides services intended to support personal development, self-awareness, emotional wellbeing, behavioural change, relaxation, reflection and other agreed goals.
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process. Participants remain aware of themselves and retain personal agency throughout the experience.
Participation in hypnotherapy does not remove a person’s ability or responsibility to make their own choices.
13. Not Medical or Emergency Care
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Services provided by The Soul Alliance are not medical, psychiatric or psychological diagnosis or treatment.
The Soul Alliance does not represent itself as providing services as a medical practitioner, psychiatrist or psychologist.
Information, reflections, suggestions, exercises, practices or perspectives shared during Services are not intended to replace individual medical, psychological, psychiatric or other appropriately qualified professional advice.
Participants remain responsible for seeking appropriate professional advice regarding their physical or mental health, medications, diagnoses, treatment and other health concerns.
Participants should not commence, discontinue or alter medication or medical treatment because of information discussed during a Service without consulting an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
The Soul Alliance is not an emergency or crisis service.
If a Participant requires urgent medical or mental-health assistance, they should seek appropriate emergency or professional support rather than relying on a scheduled Service with The Soul Alliance.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Personal Responsibility
Private work can invite reflection, insight, emotional processing and personal change.
Each Participant remains responsible for:
- their own choices and decisions;
- communicating relevant concerns;
- deciding what feels appropriate for them;
- seeking medical or other professional support where appropriate;
- participating honestly and voluntarily;
- communicating if they become uncomfortable or wish to pause;
- implementing, or choosing not to implement, suggestions discussed during a Service; and
- caring for their wellbeing before, during and after sessions.
Participants are encouraged to communicate openly if something does not feel appropriate for them.
15. Outcomes
Every person responds differently to hypnotherapy, mentorship, personal-development work and ceremonial experiences.
While Services are provided with genuine care and with the intention of supporting meaningful change, no particular result or outcome can be guaranteed.
The effectiveness and experience of a Service can be influenced by many individual factors, including participation, circumstances, readiness, expectations, consistency and factors outside the control of The Soul Alliance.
Testimonials, examples or descriptions of other people’s experiences are illustrative only and are not promises that another Participant will experience the same result.
SUITABILITY & SAFETY
16. Participant Information
Participants are responsible for providing information that is accurate and sufficiently complete where that information is reasonably relevant to the safe and appropriate provision of a Service.
Before certain Services, particularly hypnotherapy, a Participant may be asked to complete a separate Private Session Intake & Consent form.
Participants should inform The Soul Alliance of relevant circumstances that may affect their ability to participate safely or appropriately.
17. Right to Assess Suitability
The Soul Alliance reserves the right to decline, pause, modify or discontinue a Service where we reasonably consider that:
- the Service is not appropriate for the Participant;
- the Participant’s needs fall outside our scope;
- continuing could create an unreasonable safety or wellbeing concern;
- another type of professional support appears more appropriate;
- appropriate consent has not been obtained;
- the Participant is unable to participate appropriately;
- boundaries have been seriously or repeatedly breached;
- abusive, threatening, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate or otherwise unacceptable behaviour occurs; or
- the professional relationship has otherwise become unsuitable or unworkable.
Where The Soul Alliance permanently discontinues prepaid Services, the treatment of genuinely unused sessions will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
Where discontinuation results from circumstances attributable to The Soul Alliance rather than a Participant’s serious misconduct or breach, we will provide a fair remedy for unused prepaid Services, which may include a refund for the unprovided portion where appropriate or required by law.
18. Alcohol and Other Substances
Participants should not attend a session while materially impaired by alcohol, recreational drugs or another substance where that impairment may interfere with their ability to participate safely and meaningfully.
If The Soul Alliance reasonably considers that a Participant is not in an appropriate condition to participate, the session may be postponed or discontinued.
The treatment of the session credit will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
ONLINE SESSIONS
19. Online Participation
Private Services may be delivered online using a video-conferencing or other digital platform.
Participants are responsible for taking reasonable steps to ensure they have:
- a reliable internet connection;
- a functioning device;
- appropriate audio and, where required, video capability;
- a sufficiently private and comfortable environment;
- adequate battery power or access to power;
- minimal interruptions; and
- a physical environment in which they can participate safely.
For hypnotherapy or deeply relaxing practices, Participants should not participate while driving, operating machinery or undertaking another activity requiring their active attention.
20. Technical Difficulties
Technology occasionally fails.
If a Participant experiences a minor interruption, reasonable efforts will be made to reconnect and continue the session.
If a technical problem on the Participant’s side substantially prevents the session from proceeding, The Soul Alliance will consider the circumstances reasonably but does not guarantee that the entire appointment can be replaced.
If interference, technical failure or another issue on The Soul Alliance’s side substantially prevents the Service from being delivered, the affected session credit will remain available and a replacement time will be offered.
IN-PERSON SESSIONS
21. In-Person Participation
Where a Service is provided in person, Participants are responsible for arriving at the agreed location at the scheduled time.
Any venue-specific requirements communicated beforehand must be reasonably observed.
The same rescheduling, late-arrival, late-cancellation and no-show provisions contained in these Terms apply to in-person appointments unless otherwise expressly agreed.
If The Soul Alliance cannot provide an in-person Service because of illness, venue unavailability, travel disruption or another circumstance affecting us, the Participant’s session credit will remain intact and an alternative appointment will be arranged.
Where appropriate and mutually agreed, an in-person session may instead be converted to an online session.
COUPLES & MULTIPLE PARTICIPANTS
22. Services Involving More Than One Person
Some Services may involve couples or multiple Participants.
The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all intended Participants are aware that the Service is subject to these Terms.
However, where personal information, health information, recording consent or other individual consent is required, The Soul Alliance may require each Participant to provide their own consent.
One adult Participant cannot provide consent on behalf of another competent adult where individual consent is legally or ethically required.
Each Participant is responsible for their own participation, disclosures and decisions.
23. Privacy Between Participants
Where a Service involves a couple or multiple Participants, information disclosed during the shared session may naturally be heard by the other Participants.
The Soul Alliance cannot guarantee that another Participant will keep information disclosed during a shared session confidential.
Participants should therefore use their own judgement regarding what they choose to disclose in a shared setting.
Private information supplied separately to The Soul Alliance will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy obligations and our Privacy Policy.
PARTICIPANTS UNDER 18
24. Minors
Participants under the age of 18 require appropriate parent or legal guardian consent before participating in a private Service.
The Soul Alliance may request confirmation of parental or guardian authority and may require the parent or guardian to complete or approve relevant consent documentation.
Parental or guardian consent does not automatically mean that a Service will be suitable for a particular young person.
The Soul Alliance retains the right to assess suitability and decline or discontinue a Service where appropriate.
The wishes, maturity, understanding, wellbeing and privacy of the young Participant will also be treated with appropriate consideration.
Where law requires a different approach to consent or information handling in the particular circumstances, applicable law will prevail.
PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY
25. Personal and Health Information
Providing certain Services may require The Soul Alliance to collect personal information and, where relevant, sensitive or health information.
This may include information voluntarily provided through:
- booking forms;
- intake and consent forms;
- questionnaires;
- emails or messages;
- conversations during sessions;
- session notes; and
- other communications connected with providing the Service.
Information will only be collected, used, stored and disclosed in accordance with applicable privacy obligations and The Soul Alliance’s Privacy Policy.
Where health or other sensitive information is collected, appropriate consent will be obtained where required.
Participants are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy before providing personal or sensitive information.
26. Confidentiality
The Soul Alliance respects the private and personal nature of information shared during private Services.
Information will not ordinarily be disclosed to third parties except:
- with the Participant’s consent;
- where reasonably necessary and legally permitted for the purpose for which the information was collected;
- where required or authorised by law;
- where disclosure is permitted in connection with a serious threat to life, health or safety;
- where necessary to protect legal rights or respond to lawful legal processes; or
- in another circumstance permitted or required under applicable privacy law.
Where third-party technology providers are used to facilitate bookings, payments, communications or online sessions, information may be processed through those systems in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and The Soul Alliance’s Privacy Policy.
RECORDINGS
27. Participant Recording
Participants may not audio-record, video-record, photograph, screen-record or otherwise reproduce a private session without the prior express permission of The Soul Alliance.
Permission may be granted or refused at our discretion, subject to applicable law.
Permission to make one recording does not create ongoing permission to record future sessions.
28. Recording by The Soul Alliance
The Soul Alliance does not rely on acceptance of these Terms as blanket consent to record private sessions.
Where The Soul Alliance wishes to audio-record or otherwise record a session, the Participant will be informed and appropriate consent will be obtained.
A recording may, for example, be made in connection with:
- creating a personalised hypnotherapy or support audio;
- supporting continuity of a Participant’s private program;
- agreed session purposes; or
- another purpose explained to the Participant.
Where a recording contains an identifiable Participant’s voice, name, personal story, health information or other identifying information, it will not be publicly shared or repurposed outside the scope of the consent given merely because the Participant accepted these Terms.
29. De-Identified Learnings and Material
The Soul Alliance may draw upon general professional knowledge, themes, methods, insights and learnings developed through professional practice when developing future services, educational materials, programs or creative work.
We will not knowingly disclose a Participant’s name, voice, identifying personal information or identifiable private story for such purposes without appropriate permission.
Where information originating from a Service is used beyond the original purpose for which it was collected, it will only be used where appropriately de-identified or where additional consent has been obtained, as required by applicable law.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
30. The Soul Alliance Materials
Unless expressly stated otherwise, all intellectual property provided through the Services remains the property of The Soul Alliance or its relevant rights holder.
This may include:
- hypnotherapy scripts and processes;
- guided audio recordings;
- personalised audios;
- exercises;
- written resources;
- frameworks;
- methods;
- program materials;
- ceremony structures;
- music and creative material;
- worksheets;
- videos; and
- other resources supplied as part of a Service.
Purchasing a Service does not transfer ownership of this intellectual property.
31. Personal Use
Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, materials supplied to a Participant are licensed for that Participant’s personal, private use only.
Participants must not, without prior written permission:
- sell or commercially exploit the materials;
- reproduce or redistribute them publicly;
- upload them to public platforms;
- share private recordings with others;
- use them to provide services to third parties;
- represent them as their own work; or
- substantially copy or adapt proprietary material for commercial purposes.
Nothing in this section restricts any use permitted by law.
COMMUNICATION & PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES
32. Communication Between Sessions
Where reasonable communication between sessions forms part of a particular package or program, the nature and extent of that support will be described as part of the Service.
Purchasing a private Service does not create unlimited access to The Soul Alliance outside scheduled appointments unless this has been expressly included.
Messages may not be monitored continuously and should not be relied upon for urgent or emergency support.
33. Respectful Participation
The Soul Alliance is committed to providing Services within a respectful environment.
Participants are expected to communicate and behave respectfully toward The Soul Alliance and any other person involved in a Service.
The Soul Alliance reserves the right to establish and maintain reasonable professional and personal boundaries.
Threatening, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate or otherwise seriously unacceptable conduct may result in a session being ended and/or the professional relationship being discontinued, subject to applicable law.
INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS
34. Participants Outside Australia
The Soul Alliance welcomes Participants from Australia and internationally.
International Participants are responsible for considering whether there are any local requirements relevant to their participation in a Service from their location.
Appointment times may be displayed or communicated according to different time zones. Participants are responsible for checking the correct local date and time shown in their booking confirmation.
The Soul Alliance will take reasonable care when communicating appointment times but is not responsible for a Participant’s failure to correctly account for their local time zone where the booking information itself was accurate.
35. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Queensland, Australia, and, subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdictional requirements that cannot lawfully be excluded, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals having jurisdiction in Queensland.
Nothing in this clause is intended to remove any mandatory consumer or other legal rights that an international Participant may have under laws that necessarily apply to them.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
36. Booking, Payment and Technology Providers
The Soul Alliance may use third-party services to facilitate bookings, payments, email communications, online meetings, website functionality and other administrative aspects of the Services.
Use of these systems may also be subject to the relevant provider’s terms and privacy practices.
While reasonable care is taken in selecting and using third-party platforms, The Soul Alliance cannot guarantee that external technology will always operate without interruption or error.
Nothing in this section limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
EVENTS OUTSIDE REASONABLE CONTROL
37. Unforeseen Circumstances
Neither party will be treated as having failed to perform an obligation where performance is prevented or materially affected by circumstances genuinely outside their reasonable control, subject to applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include serious illness, emergency, natural disaster, major travel disruption, widespread telecommunications failure, government restriction or another comparable event.
Where such circumstances affect a booked session, both parties will make reasonable efforts to arrange an appropriate alternative.
A Participant will not lose a session solely because The Soul Alliance was unable to provide it due to such circumstances.
CONCERNS & COMPLAINTS
38. Raising a Concern
The Soul Alliance welcomes respectful and open communication.
If a Participant has a concern about a Service or their experience, they are encouraged to contact The Soul Alliance so that we have an opportunity to understand and, where appropriate, resolve the concern.
Where applicable, The Soul Alliance operates in accordance with the National Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers (Queensland). The Code is available through Queensland Health:
National Code of Conduct for Health Care Workers (Queensland)
Participants also have the right to make a complaint about a health service to the Office of the Health Ombudsman (Queensland). Information about making a complaint is available here:
Office of the Health Ombudsman — Make a Complaint
Nothing in these Terms limits a Participant’s right to raise a concern or make a complaint with the Office of the Health Ombudsman or another appropriate regulatory or complaints body.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
39. Updates
The Soul Alliance may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to Services, business practices or legal requirements.
The Terms applicable to a purchase will ordinarily be those made available at the time the relevant purchase or booking was made, unless:
- the Participant expressly agrees to a later variation;
- a change is required by law; or
- applying an updated provision is otherwise lawful and reasonable in the circumstances.
Material changes will not be applied retrospectively merely to remove an accrued right or materially disadvantage a Participant where doing so would be unlawful or unfair.
GENERAL TERMS
40. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be read down to the extent reasonably possible or severed where necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to operate.
41. No Waiver
If The Soul Alliance chooses not to enforce a provision on one occasion, this does not automatically waive the right to rely on that provision on another occasion.
This includes discretionary exceptions made for emergencies, late cancellations or package extensions.
42. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any specific written conditions applying to the purchased Service and any policies expressly incorporated into them, form the agreement relating to the purchase and provision of the relevant private Service.
Nothing in this clause excludes representations, guarantees or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
YOUR AGREEMENT
43. Acceptance
By completing the required acceptance during booking or purchase, the Participant confirms that they:
- have had the opportunity to read these Private Session Terms;
- understand that the Services are subject to these Terms;
- understand the booking, rescheduling, package and attendance conditions;
- understand that outcomes cannot be guaranteed;
- understand the distinction between The Soul Alliance’s Services and medical, psychiatric or psychological diagnosis or treatment;
- understand their responsibility to seek appropriately qualified healthcare where needed; and
- agree to be bound by these Terms, subject always to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where additional informed consent is appropriate for a particular Service, including the collection of sensitive information or specific recording arrangements, that consent may be obtained separately.
A FINAL NOTE
The intention behind these Terms is not to make your experience feel clinical or complicated.
They exist so that we enter this work with clarity, mutual respect, healthy boundaries and a shared understanding of what you can expect.
Thank you for honouring the time, care and commitment that goes into creating and holding these private experiences.
