My birth name, Charmaine, derives from Latin roots, meaning ‘a little song
or poem’, and these artforms have been a guiding force throughout my
journey—helping me navigate life’s challenges and bringing comfort and
release one verse at a time.

With an unbearable fear of sharing my voice, I wrote songs behind closed doors or deep in nature, and for a long time, my creative expression remained a whisper between my heart and the natural world.
I always say life has it’s way of coaxing us towards the edge of
vulnerability and as my journey unfolded, I found myself not only
stumbling my way onto the stage , but also guiding others through their
own creative threshholds.
